Removal Procedure

WARNING: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
  1. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.

    NOTE: Do NOT disconnect engine coolant hoses.
  3. Remove the radiator surge tank clip (2).
  4. Remove the radiator surge tank (1).

    Position the radiator surge tank (1) aside.

  5. CAUTION: Always connect or disconnect the wiring harness connector from the EBCM/EBTCM with the ignition switch in the OFF position. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to the EBCM/EBTCM.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the EBCM/EBTCM.

    NOTE: Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  8. Remove the 6 brake pipes (1, 2) from the BPMV.

  10. Remove the 2 BPMV bracket bolts (2).
  11. Remove the BPMV bracket assembly (1).

  13. Remove the 3 BPMV bracket bolts.
  14. Remove the BPMV (2).
  15. Remove the BPMV insulator (1) from the BPMV bracket (3).
