Installation Procedure

  1. Position the front suspension strut (2) in the vehicle (1).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the front suspension front mounting nuts (1) on the front suspension strut studs (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the front suspension front mounting nuts (1) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Using the adjustable jack stand, lift the lower control arm to allow the installation of the front suspension strut.

  6. Install the front suspension strut bolts (2) in the front suspension strut (1).

  8. Reconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connectors (3) and (4).
  9. Position the wheel speed sensor bracket (1) on the front suspension strut bolts (5).
  10. Install the front suspension strut nuts (2) on the front suspension strut bolts (5).

    Tighten:  Tighten the front suspension strut nuts to 120 N.m (89 lb ft).

  11. Install the stabilizer shaft link the front suspension strut. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
  12. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  13. Align the front end. Refer to Wheel Alignment Specifications .
