CAUTION: When performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, the SIR system must be disabled. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Failure to observe the correct procedure could cause deployment of the SIR components, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs. CAUTION: Do not strike or jolt the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM). Before applying power to the SDM, make sure that it is securely fastened with the arrow facing toward the front of the vehicle. Failure to observe the correct installation procedure could cause SIR deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedure Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement .
1	Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Nuts (Qty: 4) Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Tip: Reprogram the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module after installation. Refer to Control Module References . Disconnect the wire harness.

Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement .

Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Nuts (Qty: 4)

Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)

Tip:

Reprogram the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module after installation. Refer to Control Module References .
Disconnect the wire harness.
