Installation Procedure

  1. Position the generator (1) into the generator bracket.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the generator mounting fasteners (2) and tighten to 58 (43 lb ft).
  3. Install the generator mounting stud (3) and tighten to 20 (15 lb ft).
  4. Install the generator fastener (1) and tighten to 58 (43 lb ft).

  5. Connect the engine harness connector (4).
  6. Install the battery positive cable (3), to the back of the generator and tighten the fastener (2) to 15 (11 lb ft).
  7. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory (LSA) .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
