Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
  2. Remove battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (without Start/Stop System)

    NOTE:

    Do NOT disconnect engine coolant hoses.

  3. Remove the radiator surge tank clip (2).
  4. Remove the radiator surge tank (1).
  5. Position the radiator surge tank (1) aside.

  6. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and install CH-558-10  cap (1) in order to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
    7. CAUTION:

    Always connect or disconnect the wiring harness connector from the EBCM/EBTCM with the ignition switch in the OFF position. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to the EBCM/EBTCM.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the EBCM/EBTCM.

    NOTE:

    Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  8. Remove the 6 brake pipes (1, 2) from the BPMV.

  9. Remove the 2 BPMV bracket bolts (2).
  10. Remove the BPMV bracket assembly (1).

  11. Remove the 3 BPMV bracket bolts (4).
  12. Remove the BPMV (2).
  13. Remove the BPMV insulator (1) from the BPMV bracket (4).
