Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the right tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  3. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without Start/Stop System) .
  4. Remove the generator and air conditioning compressor belt. Refer to DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT.

  5. Remove the generator wiring harness nut (4).
  6. Remove the 2 generator wiring harness (2, 3) from the generator (1).

  7. Remove the 2 generator bolts (2).
  8. Remove the generator (1).
