Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Because of the accessibility of the sunroof switch, perform the component testing before beginning the Circuit/System Testing.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S72 sunroof switch.
- Scan tool not connected, doors closed, wait 5 minutes and test for less than 10 Ω between the low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If greater than the specified value, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K61 sunroof control module.
- Ignition ON, test for 4.5-5.5 V between the reference voltage circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If less than specified range, test the reference voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K61 sunroof control module.
- If greater than the specified range, test the reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K61 sunroof control module.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the S72 sunroof switch.
