Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the steering angle sensor up the steering column shaft until the sensor is on the retaining bracket slot.
  2. Install the steering angle sensor into the groove of the retaining bracket.
  3. Connect the connector to the steering angle sensor.
    4. NOTE:

    Ensure the steering wheel is in the straight-ahead position.

  4. Align the match marks and carefully guide the steering shaft coupling onto steering column shaft. Refer to Steering Shaft Coupling Replacement .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  6. Perform the steering angle sensor centering procedure. Refer to Steering Angle Sensor Centering .
