Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the left side instrument panel insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  3. Remove the instrument panel knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the steering column control module and bracket.

  5. Remove the steering column control module bracket bolts (1).
  6. Remove the steering column bracket bolt (2) and steering column control module bracket (3).
  7. Transfer components as necessary.
