Installation Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
    2. Fig 1: Exhaust Heat Shield & Fasteners

  2. Install the exhaust heat shield (2) into position.
  3. Install the exhaust heat shield fasteners (1) and tighten to 4 (35 lb in).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the underbody brace (2) and tighten the fasteners (1) to 58 (43 lb ft).
  5. Lower the vehicle.
