Assembly Procedure

  1. Position the strut in a suitable holding device.
  2. Install the front suspension strut bumper (3).
  3. Install the front coil spring (2).
  4. Install the CH-46558  compressor on the front coil spring (2) and compress the spring.
  5. Install the front suspension cartridge upper cover (1).

  6. Install the front suspension strut mount bearing assembly (2).
    7. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  7. Install the front suspension strut lower mounting nut (1) and tighten to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).

  8. Remove the CH-46558  compressor (1) from the front coil spring.
  9. Remove the strut assembly from the holding device.
  10. Install the strut assembly. Refer to Strut Assembly Removal and Installation .
