Disassembly Procedure

  1. Remove the strut assembly. Refer to Strut Assembly Removal and Installation .
  2. Position the strut assembly in a suitable holding device.

  3. Install the CH-46558  compressor (1) on the front coil spring and compress the spring.

  4. Remove the front suspension strut lower mounting nut (1).
  5. Remove the front suspension strut mount bearing assembly (2).

  6. Remove the front suspension cartridge upper cover (1).
  7. Remove the CH-46558  compressor from the front coil spring (2) and remove the spring.
  8. Remove the front suspension strut bumper (3).
  9. Remove the strut from the holding device.
