Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering

  1. Using the steering wheel, align and center the front wheels forward.
  2. Apply the parking brake, and set the transmission in Park if equipped with an automatic transmission.
  3. Install the scan tool.
  4. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  5. With the scan tool select the Power Steering Control Module.
  6. Select the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering in the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering Configuration/Reset Functions list.
  7. Follow the scan tool directions to complete the reset procedure.
  8. Use the scan tool to clear any DTCs that may be set.
  9. Turn OFF the ignition.
