Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Heated Oxygen and Oxygen Sensor Caution .

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer (4).
Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector (6) from the engine wiring harness electrical connector (5).
Remove the HO2S (3) from the exhaust pipe.
