Installation Procedure

  1. Windshield Wiper Motor (1) Install

    Windshield Wiper Transmission Bolt (2) Install and tighten 4x 15 N.m (11 lb ft)

  2. Use the J-39529  Wiper Linkage Installer (1) to install the lower transmission arm (2) to the crank arm.

  3. Use the J-39529  Wiper Linkage Installer (1) to install the upper transmission arm (2) to the crank arm.

    NOTE:

    Verify that the alignment of all 3 arms are in the electrically Park position.

  4. Align both transmission arms (1) to the crank arm (2) so that they are in a straight arm.

  5. Windshield Wiper Transmission (2) Install Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement 
  6. Verify proper windshield wiper motor operation.
