Circuit/System Testing

  1. Verify that DTC U1500, U2142 00, U2143 00 is not set.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor.
  3. Ignition OFF, key out of the ignition, all vehicle systems OFF, this may take up to 2 minutes, test for less than 10 Ω between the low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
  4. Ignition ON, test for B+ between the ignition voltage circuit terminal 4 and ground.
    • If not within the specified range, test the ignition voltage circuit for a short to ground or open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor and verify DTC does not reset. If the DTC resets, replace the EBCM.
