Component Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the Q 12 EVAP Purge Solenoid Valve.
  2. Connect a 10 A fused jumper wire between 12 V power and terminal 2 of the Q 12 EVAP Purge Solenoid Valve, and ground to terminal 1.
    • Air should flow freely through the canister purge volume control solenoid valve ports.
    • If no air flow.
  3. Replace Q 12 EVAP Purge Solenoid Valve
