Preliminary Procedures Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement . Remove the range selector lever from the transmission. Refer to Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Replacement . Disconnect the TCM electrical connector.
1	Transmission Control Module Bolts (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2	Transmission Control Module Procedure Set the inner, rotating section of the control module so that the arrow is pointing towards the marking on the housing. After repairs, refer to Control Module References for programming and set up information. Carry out adaptation, resetting. Refer to Transmission Adaptive Functions . Program the gear selector position sensor in "N" neutral position, using the scan tool. TIP: Twisting or tilting of the transmission control module electrical connector while disconnecting may result in bent or misaligned electrical terminal pins.

Transmission Control Module

Procedure

Set the inner, rotating section of the control module so that the arrow is pointing towards the marking on the housing.
After repairs, refer to Control Module References for programming and set up information.
Carry out adaptation, resetting. Refer to Transmission Adaptive Functions .
