Removal Procedure
WARNING:

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector and release the connector (1) from the rear brake hose bracket.
- Release the wheel speed sensor harness from the rear brake hose bracket clip (2).
- Release the wheel speed sensor harness clips (1) from the rear brake hose.
- If equipped with J55, remove the 2 upper rear brake caliper cooling duct deflector fasteners. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Cooling Duct Deflector Replacement .
- Remove the rear brake caliper bolts (1) and position the caliper assembly aside. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (JL9, J55) , Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (J57) and Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (J56) .
- Thoroughly clean the suspension knuckle area surrounding the wheel speed sensor of any accumulated dirt and debris.
- Remove the rear wheel speed sensor bolt (1).
- Carefully pull the wheel speed sensor straight outward from the suspension knuckle and remove the wheel speed sensor.
