Installation Procedure

  1. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket» Install - Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement 
  2. Install the electronic brake and traction control module and brake pressure modulator valve along with brake pressure modulator valve bracket to the vehicle.

  3. Bolt (1)» Install and tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
    CAUTION: Fastener Caution
  4. Brake Pipe Fitting (2)» Tighten [4x] 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
    WARNING: Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.
  5. Electrical Connector (2) @ Electronic Brake Control Module (1)» Connect

  6. Clip in wiring harness to brake pressure modulator valve bracket.
  7. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe (1) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3)» Install and tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)

  8. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Pipe (1) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3)» Install and tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)

  9. Radiator Surge Tank (1)» Install

  11. Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover» Install - Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement
  12. Battery Negative Cable» Connect - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  13. Electronic Brake Control Module Programming and Setup
  14. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
  15. Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering
