Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery (1) into position on the battery tray.

  2. Install the battery hold down retainer (2) and tighten the fastener (1) to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  3. Install the battery positive cable to the battery post and tighten the clamp fastener (2) to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
  4. Install the protective cover (1) to the battery positive cable.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
