Installation Procedure

  1. Install the brake pedal position sensor bolt (1) through the bracket and to the brake pedal position sensor (2)..

    NOTE: Align the brake pedal position sensor pin to the brake pedal bracket.
  2. Tighten the brake pedal position sensor bolt to 3 N.m (27 lb in)
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the brake pedal position sensor and bracket assembly to the brake and accelerator pedal assembly.

  4. Install the brake pedal position sensor bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
  5. Connect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector.
  6. Install the intermediate steering shaft (1). Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement .

  7. Install the instrument panel lower reinforcement bracket. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Reinforcement Bracket Replacement .
  8. Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration .
