Preliminary Procedures

  1. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp from the air cleaner assembly.

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly by first pulling upward to release the assembly from the rubber grommets and then pulling outward from the fender.
