Installation Procedure

  1. Install a NEW seal (1, 3) (Qty: 2)
  2. Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Outlet Pipe (2)

    NOTE:

    Do NOT tighten.

  3. Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Bolts (1) (Qty: 2)
    4. Fig 3: EGR Temperature Sensor - Position 2, EGR Cooler And Bolts

    NOTE:

    Do NOT tighten.

  4. Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Bolt (3) (Qty: 2) @ Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler (1)
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  5. Tighten Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Bolt (3) (Qty: 2) to 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  6. Tighten Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bolt (1) (Qty: 2) to 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  7. Install the exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor - position 2 (2) and tighten to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).
  8. Install Three-Way Catalytic Converter. Refer to Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement
  9. Install Water Outlet. Refer to Water Outlet Replacement
  10. Install Air Cleaner Outlet Duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement 
  11. Install Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover. Refer to Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement
