Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the P16 Instrument Cluster, ignition ON.
  2. Using a test lamp connected between terminal 1 and terminal 31, command the security indicator on and off.
    • If the test lamp illuminates 

      Replace the P16 Instrument Cluster

    • Go to next step: If the test lamp does not illuminate 
  3. Ignition ON, security indicator commanded ON.
  4. Test for less than 10 Ω in the ground circuit between terminal 31 and ground.
    1. Test for less than 10 Ω in the ground circuit between terminal 31 and ground.
      • If 10 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
    • Go to next step: If less than 10 Ω 
  5. Using a test lamp, test for B+ between terminal 1 and ground
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate and the circuit fuse is OK 

      Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit

    • Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates 
  6. Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
