Circuit/System Verification

  1. Engine running.
  2. Verify the scan tool IAT Sensor parameter. The reading should be between -38 to +149°C (-36 to +300°F) depending on the current ambient temperature and the vehicle operating conditions.
  3. Verify the scan tool IAT Sensor parameter while moving the related wiring harness and harness connectors. The reading should not change abruptly.
    • If the reading changes abruptly 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the reading does not change 
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing for further diagnosis.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  5. All OK.
