Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Nuts And Bolts

    NOTE:

    Use NEW bolts.

  1. Loosely install bolts (2)
  2. NOTE:

    Use NEW nuts.

  3. Loosely install Nut (1)

    NOTE:

    Use NEW bolts.

  5. Loosely Install Bolt (1) @Front Lower Control Arm Bushing (2)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Hold against the nuts (2) to tighten the bolts (1). Use a suitable tool.

  7. Bolt (2) & Nut(1) - Tighten (Qty: 2)
    1. First Pass:100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass:90 to 105 degrees - EN-45059  meter

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  9. Bolt(1)@Front Lower Control Arm Bushing(2) - Tighten
    1. First Pass:100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass:30 to 45 degrees - EN-45059  meter

    NOTE:

    Support the lower control arm ball joint with a hydraulic jack.

    NOTE:

    Hold against the hex of the threaded stud to tighten the nut (1). Use a suitable tool.

  11. Install the lower ball joint in the steering knuckle.
  12. Install a NEW nut.(1)
  13. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  14. Nut - Tighten (Qty: 2)
    1. First Pass:35 N.m (26 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass:30 to 45 degrees - EN-45059  meter
  15. If equipped with the front leveling position sensor, connect the electrical connector.
  16. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
