Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Do not tighten the battery sensor pole nut (2).

  1. Loosely install the battery sensor (1) carefully.

  2. Install the battery negative cable (2).
  3. Install a open-end spanner (3) to counterhold the battery sensor (4) as shown in the graphic.
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the battery negative cable nut (1) and tighten to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  5. Install a suitable open-end spanner (3) to counterhold the battery sensor as shown in the graphic.
  6. Install the wiring harness ground cable (2) and the wiring harness ground cable bolt (1) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  7. Connect the wiring harness connector (1) to the battery sensor.
  8. Tighten the battery negative pole nut to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)
  9. Perform the battery sensor module learn procedure. Refer to Battery Sensor Module Learn .
