Installation Procedure

ANY fuel injectors being reused MUST have NEW combustion fuel injector seals (1) installed. Refer to Fuel Rail and Injectors Installation

Install the EN-51146 - 2 - 5 calibration tool (1) on the fuel injector.

NOTE: ALWAYS install a NEW fuel injector seal when the fuel injector is removed from the fuel injection fuel rail.
Lightly coat the NEW fuel injector seal (2) with clean engine oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers
Install the fuel injector (1) into the fuel injection fuel rail.

Perform the following steps to install the NEW inner and outer fuel injector bolts (2):
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

CAUTION: This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
1. Apply one drop of thread locking adhesive to each bolt. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers
2. Install the bolts and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
Connect the wiring harness connector (3).
Install the fuel injection fuel rail assembly. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement
