Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator assembly (1) to the vehicle.

  2. Install the radiator lower bracket (2) - right side.

  3. Install the radiator lower bracket bolts (1) - right side and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the radiator lower bracket (2) - left side.

  5. Install the radiator lower bracket bolts (1) - left side and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  6. Install the condenser securing bolts (1) and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  7. Install the condenser securing bolts (1) and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  8. Install the engine coolant fan shroud (2). Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement .

  9. Install the engine coolant fan shroud bolt (1) and tighten to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
  10. Connect the electrical connectors to the engine coolant fan shroud.
  11. Position the radiator inlet hose (2) and clip the radiator inlet hose clamp (1).

  12. Position the radiator outlet hose (2) and clip the radiator outlet hose clamp (1).

  13. Install the oxygen sensor connector bracket (2).

  14. Install the oxygen sensor connector bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  15. If the auto transmission is equipped, install the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement .
  16. Position the surge tank and install the surge tank bolts. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  17. Install the radiator air lower baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle Replacement .
  18. Install the radiator air upper baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement .
  19. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  20. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  21. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  22. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
