Installation Procedure

  1. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Insulator (2) - Install NEW [2x]

  2. Electronic Brake Control Module with Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (1) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket - Install
  3. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Insulator Washer (2) - Install NEW [2x]

  4. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Insulator Nut (1) - Install NEW [2x]
  5. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Insulator Nut (1) - Tighten [2x] 8 N.m (71 lb in)
  6. Electronic Brake Control Module with Brake Pressure Modulator Valve and Bracket Assembly (2) @ Vehicle - Install

  7. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Nut (1) @ Front Compartment Inner Side Rail - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  8. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Nut (1) @ Front Wheel House Panel - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  9. Body Wiring Harness Clip (3) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket - Install

  10. Electrical Connector (1) @ Electronic Brake Control Module (2) - Connect
  11. Brake Pipe Fitting (1) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (2) - Install and tighten [4x] 18 N.m (13 lb ft)

    WARNING:

    Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.

  12. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Rear Pipe Fitting (2) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) - Install and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

    WARNING:

    Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.

    NOTE:

    Make sure that the electronic brake control module is fully seated into the grommets after the brake pipes are tightened.

  13. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Front Pipe Fitting (1) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) - Install and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  14. Drive Motor Battery Positive and Negative Cable (1) - Install - Drive Motor Battery Positive and Negative Cable Replacement

  15. Install the heater surge tank to the heater surge tank bracket. Heater Coolant Surge Tank Replacement
  16. Enable the high voltage system. High Voltage Enabling
  17. Program the electronic brake control module. Control Module References
  18. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
  19. Calibrate the brake pressure modulator valve pressure sensor. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pressure Sensor Calibration
