Removal Procedure

  1. Ensure that all lamps and accessories are turned off.
  2. Turn the ignition OFF and remove the ignition key.

    WARNING:

    Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .

    Loosen the battery negative pole nut (2).

  4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the battery sensor.

    Install a suitable open-end spanner (3) to counterhold the battery sensor (4) as shown in the graphic.

  6. Remove the battery negative cable nut (1).
  7. Remove the battery negative cable (2).

    Install a suitable open-end spanner (3) to counterhold the battery sensor as shown in the graphic.

  9. Remove the wiring harness ground cable bolt (1) and the wiring harness ground cable (2).

    Remove the battery sensor (1).
