Component Testing

Ignition/Vehicle - Off
Disconnect the electrical connector: S48C Multifunction Switch 1 - Instrument Panel
Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Signal terminal 3 & Ground terminal 10 - The switch is in the open position.
- If less than infinite resistance
  Replace the component: S48C Multifunction Switch 1 - Instrument Panel
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
Test for less than 2 Ω between the test points: Signal terminal 3 & Ground terminal 10 - The switch is in the closed position.
- If 2 Ω greater
  Replace the component: S48C Multifunction Switch 1 - Instrument Panel
- Go to next step: If less than 2 Ω
All OK.
