Installation Procedure

  1. Plug the wheel speed sensor bore to prevent debris from entering the wheel hub and bearing.
  2. Clean the mounting surface on the wheel hub to remove any corrosion and debris.
  3. Apply a light coat of wheel speed anti-corrosion grease to the wheel speed sensor and mounting pad on the wheel hub and bearing assembly. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 
  4. Remove the plug from the wheel speed sensor bore.

    Wheel Speed Sensor (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Wheel Speed Sensor Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)

    Clip (1) - Secure

    Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Front Brake Rotor (1) - Install - Front Brake Rotor Replacement (JH6) , or Front Brake Rotor Replacement (JH9)

  12. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  13. Perform the diagnostic system check. Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle
