Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Prepare bow reinforcement before installation.

  1. Prepare bow reinforcement per installation requirements.
  2. Prepare all joining surfaces for welding as necessary.
  3. Apply weld-thru coating or equivalent to all welding surfaces. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair

  4. Position bow reinforcement (1) to vehicle using 3-dimensional measuring equipment.

  5. Install spot welds. [6x]
  6. Install roof outer panel Roof Outer Panel Replacement (SWB) Roof Outer Panel Replacement (LWB Sunroof) Roof Outer Panel Replacement (LWB) Roof Outer Panel Replacement (SWB Sunroof) .
  7. Apply the sealers and anti-corrosion materials to the repair area as necessary. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair
    8. NOTE:

    Before refinishing, refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair

  8. Paint the repaired area. Basecoat/Clearcoat Paint Systems .
  9. Install all related panels and components.
  10. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1, 5W4)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  11. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling .
