Installation Procedure
- Prepare body side outer panel per installation requirements.
- Prepare all joining surfaces for welding as necessary.
- Position body side outer panel (1) on the vehicle using 3-dimensional measuring equipment.
- Remove body side outer panel (1) from vehicle.
- Apply weld-thru coating or equivalent to all welding surfaces. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair
- Clean and prepare body side outer panel and vehicle for adhesive according to adhesive manufacturer's recommendations. METAL PANEL BONDING
- Apply structural adhesive (1) on the mating surfaces on the body side outer panel and vehicle according to adhesive manufacturer's recommendations. METAL PANEL BONDING

- Apply sealer (1) on vehicle.
- Install body side outer panel (1) on vehicle and clamp into place.
- Re-hem the wheel opening flange area (1) of the body side outer panel.
- Install spot welds (1). [69x]
- Install spot welds (1). [2x]
- Install roof. Roof Outer Panel Replacement (SWB) Roof Outer Panel Replacement (LWB Sunroof) Roof Outer Panel Replacement (LWB) Roof Outer Panel Replacement (SWB Sunroof)
- Apply the sealers and anti-corrosion materials to the repair area as necessary. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair
- Paint the repaired area. Basecoat/Clearcoat Paint Systems .
- Install all related panels and components.
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1, 5W4)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
- Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling .
Prepare body side outer panel before installation.
Not all spot welds noted during removal process are required to be reinstalled. Per individual procedure structural adhesive can be used in place of spot welds. METAL PANEL BONDING

Spot welds are required securing the body side outer panel and lock plate striker to the vehicle.
