Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief 
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  3. Remove the fuel injection fuel rail insulator. Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Insulator Replacement 
  4. Remove the fuel feed intermediate pipe. Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement 
  5. Intake Manifold - Remove - Intake Manifold Replacement

    Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect

  7. Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Bolt (2) - Remove [3x]

    NOTE:

    Use care to avoid contact with the fuel rail harness during special tool installation and fuel rail removal.

    Install the EN-49248  Injector Rail Assembly Remover (1).

  9. Electrical Connector @ Knock Sensor (2) - Disconnect [2x]
  10. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (3) - Disconnect
  11. Remove the fuel rail evenly.
