Circuit/System Verification

- Verify there are no related DTCs set in the following system:Stop Lamps
- If the DTC is set
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- Test or inspect for the following:Brake Pedal=Binding or Sticking
Refer to:Brake System Slow Release
- Perform the scan tool control function: Brake Master Cylinder Pressure Test
- If the procedure/test passes
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 5 min
- Ignition/Vehicle - On - For greater than 60 s - Brake Pedal Not Applied
- Apply and hold the brake pedal.to half stroke - For greater than 2 s
- Slowly release the brake pedal.
- Verify DTC C05D0 is not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the component:A104 Brake Master Cylinder
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If the procedure/test does not pass
- Bleed the brake system.Refer to:Automated Brake Bleed
- Perform the scan tool control function:Brake Hydraulics Test
- If the procedure/test does not pass
- Replace the component:A104 Brake Master Cylinder
- Go to next step: If the procedure/test passes
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 5 min
- Ignition/Vehicle - On - For greater than 60 s - Brake Pedal Not Applied
- Apply and hold the brake pedal.to half stroke - For greater than 2 s
- Slowly release the brake pedal.
- Verify DTC C05D0 is not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the component:A104 Brake Master Cylinder
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
