Removal Procedure

Use a small flat-bladed tool to pull and release the rear compartment lid latch cover (1).
- Rear Compartment Lid Latch Cover (1) - Remove
Reposition the rear compartment lid hinge cover (2).
Use a flat-bladed plastic tool to disengage the push-in retainers from the sheet metal.
- Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim (1) - Remove
Carefully depress the retainer tabs to release the rear compartment lid latch cover (1).
Slide the rear compartment lid latch cover (1) to the right to access the cable end.
- Turn the auxiliary rear compartment latch release handle retainer (2) 180 degrees and pull out of the rear compartment lid latch.
Rear Compartment Lid Latch Bolt (1) - Remove [ 2x ]
- Rear Compartment Lid Latch (2) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
