Installation Procedure

Rear Side Door Inside Handle Cable (1) - Install
Using the appropriate tool, close the rear side door latch access cover.

Rear Side Door Outside Handle Cable (1) - Install

NOTE:
The rear side door outside handle can not be installed until the counter balance is reset.

Reset the rear side door outside handle bracket counter balance as follows:
1. Grasp the rear side door outside handle bracket (1) with one hand.
2. From the back side of the counter balance (2) push forward on the counter balance until it can be held in place using the bracket clip (3).

Install the rear side door outside handle bracket (1) and the rear side door latch (2) as an assembly.

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Rear Side Door Latch Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 3x ] - Fastener Specifications
Rear Side Door Latch Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

NOTE:
- Ensure that the counter balance is reset and locked in the bracket clip. The counter balance can not be reset after the rear side door outside handle bracket has been reinstalled in the door.
- The rear side door outside handle bracket should be slid full rearward prior to tightening the rear side door outside handle bracket screw.
Rear Side Door Outside Handle Bracket Screw (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

Install the front part of the rear side door outside handle (1) into the rear side door outside handle bracket.

Install the rear part of the rear side door outside handle (1) into the rear side door outside handle bracket and slide the rear side door outside handle forward.

Connect the electrical connector. (1)

Pull the rear side door outside handle (1) outwards to the open position.

Rear Side Door Lock Cylinder Opening Cover (1) - Install

Place the rear side door outside handle (1) in the closed position.

Rear Side Door Lock Cover Bolt (2) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
Rear Side Door Inner Panel Access Hole Plug (1) - Install

Rear Side Door Locking Rod Knob (1) - Install
Inspect the door latch, window, and outside handle for proper operation before installing the door trim.

NOTE:
When reinstalling water deflector ensure integral locators are installed properly and that water deflector is secured and leakproof.

Route the rear side door inside handle cable through hole in deflector.
