Removal Procedure

Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
Exhaust Front Muffler - Remove - Exhaust Front Muffler Replacement (LFY)

Disconnect the power transfer unit vent hose (1) from the power transfer unit and set aside.

Remove the engine wiring harness clip (1) from the engine block.
Remove the crankshaft position sensor bolt (2).

With the electrical connector connected, remove the crankshaft position sensor (1) from the engine.
Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the crankshaft position sensor.
DISCARD the crankshaft position sensor seal (3).
