Verify the test lamp turns On and Off.
- If the test lamp is always OFF
- Test circuit 4258 for a short to voltage.
- If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found.
- Test circuit 4258 for an open/high resistance.
- If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
- Replace the A23D Front Side Door Latch - Driver
- If the test lamp is always ON
- Test circuit 4258 for a short to ground.
- If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found.

- Verify the test lamp turns On and Off.
- If the test lamp is always Off
- Ignition OFF, remove the test lamp, disconnect the harness connector at the S79D Front Side Door Window Control Switch - Driver
- Test for infinite resistance between the circuit 4244 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the circuit 4244 end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the S79D Front Side Door Window Control Switch - Driver
- If the test lamp is always On
- Ignition OFF, remove the test lamp, disconnect the harness connector at the S79D Front Side Door Window Control Switch - Driver, ignition ON.
