Installation Procedure

  1. Fig 1: Identifying Radiator Components

    Lower Radiator Frame (6) - Install

  2. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (5) - Install
  3. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Retainer (4) - Install
  4. Radiator Outlet Hose Connector (3) - Install - Radiator Outlet Hose Connector Replacement - Radiator Side 
  5. Air Conditioning Condenser Seal (2) [2x] - Install
  6. Radiator Upper Insulator (1) [2x] - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Radiator (3) - Install

  8. Engine Coolant Fan Shroud (2) - Install
  9. Radiator Bolt (1) [2x] - Install and tighten to 6 N.m (53 lb in)

    Radiator Assembly (1) - Install

    Radiator Upper Bracket (2) - Install - Radiator Upper Bracket Replacement  [2x]

  12. Connect the engine coolant fan connector.
  13. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.

    Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet Pipe (1) @ Radiator Assembly - Install - Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement

  21. Hood Primary and Secondary Latch - Install - Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (Chevrolet) , or Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (Buick)
  22. Fill and inspect the transmission fluid level. Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
  23. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  24. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (BUPYEONG Plant, KOREA) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (SAN LUIS POTOSI Plant, MEXICO) 
  25. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  26. Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
  27. Inspect for transmission fluid leaks.
