Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify the function: Radio Controls = Inoperative
    • Go to next step: If not the specified state 
  3. Press the following button: S70R Steering Wheel Controls Switch - Right - All

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Steering Wheel Control Switches = Displays each of the specified states.

    • If not the specified state 

      Replace the component: S70R Steering Wheel Controls Switch - Right

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  4. Operate the component: S70E Steering Wheel Controls Switch - Radio Presets - Next Preset & Previous Preset

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Steering Wheel Control Switches = Displays each of the specified states.

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing/S70E Steering Wheel Controls Switch - Radio Presets

  5. Operate the component: S70F Steering Wheel Controls Switch - Radio Volume - Volume Down Button & Volume Up Button

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Steering Wheel Control Switches = Displays each of the specified states.

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing/S70F Steering Wheel Controls Switch - Radio Volume

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  6. All OK.
