Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

    Center Pillar Lower Garnish Molding Lower Hole Cover (1) - Remove

    Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Tensioner Cover (1) - Remove

  4. Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Tensioner Bolt (2) - Remove
  5. Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Tensioner (3) - Reposition

    Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) - Remove

  7. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) - Remove
  8. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) - Remove

    Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) - Remove

    1. Reposition the Floor Carpet as needed.
    2. Starting at the rear of the garnish molding, pull upward at B-Pillar joint to disengage garnish molding,
    3. Work your way froward disengaging all of the garnish molding clips then pull reward to disengage the clips on the forward vertical wall.
  10. Adjust the rear seat to a suitable position to make sure there is enough space to remove the rear side door sill garnish molding.

    Use the appropriate plastic trim tool to release the retaining clips of the rear side door sill garnish molding.

  12. Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) - Remove

    Pull the trim panel (1) towards the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retainers.

  14. Center Pillar Lower Garnish Molding (1) - Remove

    Front Seat Belt Guide Bolt (1) - Remove

  16. Push Pin (2) - Remove

    Front Seat Center Belt Anchor Plate Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  18. Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Tensioner (2) - Remove

    Front Seat Belt Retractor Bolt (1) - Remove

  20. Front Seat Belt Retractor (2) - Remove
  21. Disconnect the electrical connector and release the wiring harness retainers as necessary.
