Installation Procedure

    Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (2) - Install

  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Cover (1) - Install

    Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.

  5. Fuel Tank (1) - Install

    Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Install [2x]

  7. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  8. Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  9. Remove the adjustable jack from under the fuel tank.
  10. Connect the hose and wiring harness retainers as necessary.

    Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  12. Fuel Pump Fuel Feed Hose (1) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (4) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  14. Fuel Tank Filler Hose (3) - Install
  15. Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (2) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
  16. Wiring Harness (1) - Connect

    Rear Wheel Drive Differential Carrier Housing Gasket (2) - Install NEW

  18. Using a suitable jack stand support the driveline torque tube.
  19. Driveline Torque Tube (1) @ Differential Carrier Assembly - Install

    NOTE:

    The driveline torque tube and differential carrier are balanced as an assembly. When re-using the original driveline torque tube it should be re-installed in the same position in relation the pinion splines.

    Ensure the driveline torque tube and pinion spline marks (1) are aligned.

    If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:

    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
    4. Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  22. Driveline Torque Tube Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps:

    2. Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
    4. Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  24. Differential Carrier Front Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  25. Remove the jack stand from under the differential carrier.
  26. Install the propeller shaft. Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement
  27. Refill the fuel tank.
  28. Inspect for fuel leaks.
