Valve Spring Installed Height

Valve springs must be square within 0.078" (1.98 mm). Installed height of springs (measured from spring contact area on head to undersize of spring retainer) should not exceed specifications. If height is greater than maximum allowable, install a 0.063" (1.60 mm) spacer(s) in head counterbore to bring spring height back to normal. If spacers are installed, measure from top of spacer.
