HVAC Control Systems: Heaters: Description: Notes
NOTE:
Vacuum and wiring diagrams are at end of article.
All Chrysler Corp. heater systems are of the "Blend Air" type. Outside air enters the heater through the cowl grille and passes through a plenum chamber to the heater core. A temperature control door in the plenum chamber directs the incoming air either through or past the heater core. The amount of "blend" is determined by the setting of the temperature control lever on the control panel. Direction of the "blended air" is controlled by the heat/defrost lever on the control panel. Also mounted on the control panel is the blower speed switch.
