Warm Dr8 - EGR System
- Connect a tachometer to engine. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Open sub EGR valve with your fingers. Engine speed should not drop. If engine speed is okay, proceed to WARM DR9.

- If engine speed dropped in step 1), remove vacuum hose (leading to carburetor) at secondary EGR valve. Connect vacuum gauge to hose. Gauge should indicate 0-2 in. Hg. If vacuum is okay, replace EGR valve.

- If vacuum was greater than 2 in. Hg, the throttle blade is open too far. Check basic timing and curb idle speed.
