Low-Reverse Band (Rear)

NOTE: Low-Reverse band adjusting screw is located on rear servo lever. Transmission oil pan must be removed to provide access to band adjusting screw.

Drain transaxle fluid and remove oil pan. Pressurize low-reverse servo with 30 psi air and measure gap between band ends. If less than .080" (2.0 mm), band has excess wear and should be replaced.

To adjust A-413 and A-470 models, loosen lock nut approximately 5 turns and tighten adjusting screw to 41 INCH lbs. (4.6 N.m). Back off adjusting screw specified number of turns given in table, hold in this position and tighten lock nut.

NOTE: A-415 low-reverse band is not adjustable.
